Flight Review

Stay current, sharpen your skills, and fly with confidence. Your Flight Review at AZ is more than just a regulatory requirement — it’s a personalized refresher designed to keep you safe, proficient, and in command.
Your session begins with a comprehensive ground briefing alongside your AZ instructor, where you’ll review key regulations, airspace, weather decision-making, and aircraft systems tailored to your experience level and flying goals. Whether you’ve been flying regularly or it’s been a while since your last flight, we adapt the review to meet you where you are.
Out on the ramp, you’ll conduct a full preflight inspection before stepping into one of our Cessna 172 aircraft, a trusted and versatile platform for proficiency training. From classic analog panels to modern avionics (depending on aircraft availability), you’ll have the opportunity to refresh your understanding of the equipment you rely on in real-world flying.
Once airborne, your instructor will guide you through a series of practical maneuvers and real-world scenarios. Expect to practice fundamental skills such as takeoffs and landings, steep turns, slow flight, stalls, and emergency procedures — all designed to reinforce your confidence and decision-making in the cockpit.
This isn’t just about checking a box. It’s about becoming a sharper, safer pilot.
Upon successful completion, your instructor will endorse your logbook, meeting the requirements of a FAA Flight Review (14 CFR §61.56).
